Colnago Extreme- Power Road Frameset (2009)

Colnago's Carbon Fiber lugged road frame is always the most wanted road bike in the world. Colnago offers three lugged carbon framesets - C50, Extreme-C and the all new Extreme-Power. While the C50 continues to be the more versatile bicycle, the Colnago Extreme-Power is the most innovative bicycle in the Colnago range. The Extreme-Power was born to meet the demands of sprinters - Alessandro Petacchi and Erik Zabel (Team Milram) and Oscar Freire (Rabobank) - all who have a power output of 180 kg for each pedal stroke.

Extreme-Power frame has special conical oversize down tube and top tube tubing, with a 38mm diameter head tube and 44mm bottom bracket. Inside these special butted Extreme-Power tubes are two unidirectional high modulus carbon fiber longitudinal reinforcement ribs that are 10mm long and 0.8mm thick. These internal reinforcement provides 30% more resistance to torsional stress than before, while the 35mm diameter seat tube accommodates a 31.6mm oversized seat post - we recommend the Campagnolo Record 31.6mm seatpost. The bottom bracket shell is made of CNC Titanium to facilitate maintenance. Extreme-Power's rear chain stays are in Colnago's distinctive leaf shaped form for increased power transmission. The Extreme Power features the C75 carbon fork.
